If you watched the first few minutes of this game, you would’ve thought it was going to be a close one. However, the Lions ran away with it shortly after, piling on 24 points in the first quarter and holding a 20-point-plus lead for most of the second half.
All 10 of Lynden’s suited up players accounted for points with senior forward Spencer Adams leading the pack with his 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting. He also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds.
Behind him were the Lions’ own splash brothers, junior Malachi Koenen and sophomore Markus Koenen, who combined to shot 8-of-12 from beyond the arc, with Malachi scoring 12 points and Markus nabbing 15.

Lummi Nation 93, Cedar Park Christian (Lynwood) 14

It was just too much size, speed and overall skill as the Blackhawks swallowed up the Eagles in Lummi Nation’s home opener.
The Blackhawks put up 40 points in the first quarter, and led 66-7 at the half.
Senior center Chayce Waite-Kellar made 10 of his 11 field goal attempts, which included three dunks, and he finished with with 20 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.
Senior guard Jerome Toby had 17 points, seven assists and four steals, and junior guard Landon LaFontaine drained three of his four 3-point attempts as he finished with 17 points, six assists and four steals.
Junior forward Deandre James worked hard in the paint to finish with 16 points, and junior guard Dyson Edwards added 10 points, five assists and four steals.

The Lyncs shot their way out to a 25-8 lead after one quarter and never looked back after that in their road win.
Junior guard Dawson Hintz led the way with 24 points, including an incredible two-handed dunk off an inbound pass from junior guard Gunnar Dykstra.
Dykstra added 20 points, and was 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, and junior forward Kaden Veldman powered home 17 points, six rebounds, five steals and four blocks.
Junior guard Harvest Howell directed the traffic to the tune of a team-high six assists.

Anacortes 74, Ferndale 56

The Golden Eagles led 33-26 at the half, but the Seahawks went on a 31-5 run in the third quarter to take a 57-38 lead going into the fourth.
Anacortes had rained down so many points that it caused a leak in the roof, and the fourth quarter had to be moved to the auxiliary gym where the Seahawks ultimately picked up the win.
Ferndale senior forward Mantaj Singh led his team with 15 points and three steals, while sophomore guard Tracen Pazaski added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
Sophomore guard Houston Wills led his team with five assists to go with his 13 points, and senior guard Kaveer Dhillon scored eight points in his first game of the season.
