Kelley

After a close first quarter, the Mariners ran away with the victory over the next three quarters.

Senior forward Xavier Kelley kept his hot streak alive to begin the season as he finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and three blocks to help lead his team to the home win.

Larsen

Senior point guard Nolan Wright steered the ship to 12 assists and also finished with five steals, and junior guard Quincy Tanovan added 12 points.

The Trojans were led by senior center Daniel Larsen who finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, and sophomore guard Emmett Ashmore knocked down his two 3-point attempts and finished with nine points.

Granberg-Kiddle

The Storm hung with the Tigers in the first half, but Burlington-Edison connected on a trio of three-pointers midway through the third quarter to extend its lead to double-digits, and the Tigers never looked back after that.

Squalicum junior center Orion Granberg-Kiddle led his team with 21 points and seven rebounds, and was 10-of-15 shooting from the field.

Junior guard Blake Elston had 13 points, five rebounds and two blocks, and senior guard Rhys Knowlton added six points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Mountaineers were rudely welcomed into the season with a thumping from the Cubs on the road.

Sedro-Woolley took a 25-7 lead after one quarter, and put up a 30-spot in the third quarter alone.

Junior center Kell Reardon led Mount Baker with 13 points and eight rebounds, and senior point guard Jordan Bailey had nine points and three assists.

The Mounties also got five points each from senior guard Payten Abitia and sophomore forward Pepe McEvoy-Salgado.
