Mount Vernon Christian 67, Meridian 63 (2 OT)
The Hurricanes led 55-50 late in the fourth quarter when junior guard Trey Alexander found fellow junior Gabe Galbraith open on the right elbow for a three-pointer that brought the Trojans within two points with 1:30 left.

Galbraith then stole the ball from behind to give Meridian another possession, and this time Alexander found senior guard Matthew Blankenburg cutting to the hoop and the lefty put it off the glass from point-blank range to tie the game with just under a minute to go.
After a Mount Vernon Christian miss, the Trojans had two chances to win the game, but the first shot rimmed off and the putback was blocked which sent the game into overtime.
The Hurricanes led in the first overtime 59-57, and Meridian was held for the last shot with under 20 seconds remaining. An eventual foul with 1.5 seconds left on the clock send senior Daniel Larsen to the line. He hit both free throws, which sent the game into a second overtime where Mount Vernon Christian outscored the Trojans 8-4 to take the road win.
Galbraith led Meridian with 24 points, and Larsen had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Junior guard Pierce Brzozowski added seven points, seven assists and two steals.
