Melton

Whatcom County saw how talented the Mavericks were when they came into town and defeated Lynden a few weeks ago, and the Borderites saw the same demise while visiting Meadowdale on Saturday afternoon.

The Mavericks raced out to a 22-9 lead after one quarter, and never looked back.

Senior forward Landon Melton led Blaine with 12 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block.

Junior center Gus Dickson added eight points and five boards.
