The Eagles hit a fadeaway three-point shot with five seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 74-74, and eventually send the game into overtime.

Dykstra

The Lyncs scored a whopping 19 points in the extra four-minute period to come away with the huge home victory over 4A Arlington.

Junior guard Gunnar Dykstra led Lynden Christian with 29 points, and junior guard Dawson Hintz was close behind with 28 points. Hintz also flirted with a triple-double as he totaled 10 assists and seven rebounds.

Junior forward Kaden Veldman did the same with 10 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and four blocks.

Senior guard Eli Maberry nailed 3-of-7 from beyond the arc, and finished with 13 points.

Already without senior Ty Jorgenson, the Lions were also without standout forward Spencer Adams for this game, and the 4A Cougars proved to be too much early on as they grabbed an early lead, and went into the midway break up 39-16.

Lynden played better in the second half, but was never able to bring the deficit to single digits on the road.

Junior guard Gordy Bedlington led the Lions with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting, and junior guard Malachi Koenen drained a pair of threes and finished with nine points.

Junior center Lewis Whitney grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, and senior forward Brody Price added six rebounds and four assists.

Scheenstra

The Pioneers turned the ball over too many times, and the Cougars were able to connect on multiple open shots from deep as Lakewood was able to run away with win on the road.

Sophomore forward Treven Scheenstra came off the bench to lead Nooksack Valley in scoring with 14 points on 6-of-8 from the field.

Senior guard Owen Wichers was also very efficient as she was 5-of-7 from the field for 13 points, and junior forward Weston Silves added 10 points.

Wichers and Silves also tied for the team lead with seven rebounds each, along with seniors Jayden Anderson and Brian Leyerly.

Junior forward Dane Ackerman had a team-high five assists, and junior forward Kade Mitchell blocked three shots.
