Wright

The Mountaineers were able to keep it close for the majority of the first quarter but the Mariners found the momentum and put together a 7-0 run that carried into the second quarter. From there, Sehome continued to outscore the Mountaineers for each of the next of three quarters to keep hold of the lead.

Mount Baker had its best offensive quarter in the final period of play, but the Mariners had already done enough damage to hang on for the win.

Reardon

Sehome was led in scoring by the 19 points of senior guard Nolan Wright and 16 points of junior guard Quincy Tanovan. Senior forward Xavier Kelley added 14 points to the Mariner total, as well as a team-high 11 rebounds. All three players also had five assists a piece.

For the Mountaineers, junior center Kell Reardon led the way with 13 points and sophomore forward Pepe McEvoy-Salgado had eight points. Both players also grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

Waite-Kellar

The Blackhawks had little trouble at home as they raced out to a 25-2 lead after one quarter, and went into the locker room up 45-9 at the half.

Senior center Chayce Waite-Kellar made all eight of his field goal attempts, which included four dunks, on his way to a team-high 16 points.

Senior point guard Jerome Toby added 15 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and six steals, and junior guard Dyson Edwards finished with 12 points and four assists.

Junior forward Deandre James pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds, which included seven on the offensive glass, and junior guard Tre James came off the bench to score 10 points.

Coppinger

The final two minutes of the contest was filled with timeouts and free throw attempts, and stretched into almost 15 minutes of real time as the Pioneers did everything they could to complete the comeback, but fell just short on the road.

Senior guard Cole Coppinger led Nooksack Valley with 14 points, which included going 7-of-8 from the foul line.

Senior forward Crew Bauman finished with 13 points and four assists, and sophomore forward Treven Scheenstra came off the bench to score 11 points and grab five rebounds.
