The Storm kept their season alive as Cameron Schmitt struck out 12 batters in a two-hit shutout at home in a 2A district play-in game. Squalicum also got a boost offensively from shortstop Hudson Johnson who had three hits, including a double. The Storm kicked off the scoring in the bottom of the first inning when catcher Henry Ingersoll tripled in a pair of runners. Squalicum was then able to push across four insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth after numerous walks, passed balls, wild pitches and a clutch hit from Tanner Berg. Squalicum will now go on the road to face top-seeded Anacortes on Thursday at 6:00.

The season came to an abrupt end for the Golden Eagles as they were only able to muster two hits as they dropped the 3A district play-in game on the road. The Scots got on the board in the bottom of the second, and were able to hold on to the lead throughout. Ferndale’s hits came from Tracen Pazaski and Rand Dobbins, while Fenton Vasak pitched the complete game.
