The Golden Eagles scored twice in the top of the first inning, but weren’t able to push another run across for the remainder of the game as they fell in their regular season finale. Freshman catcher Joe Bense went 2-for-4 with a run batted in and two stolen bases to lead the Ferndale offense, while Emilio Villarreal went the distance on the bump and struck out four batters.
